The first post for any site is always the most exciting one and that is certainly the case here. I’ve been negotiating with the (old) owners of treadmill.com for over a year and I was finally able to come to an agreement with them. This is a very exciting time for me personally since I’m a health and fitness nut and run on a treadmill several times a week. While there is a lot of work ahead of me, I aspire for treadmill.com to become the de facto place on the Internet to come for reviews on treadmills, information on fitness, and related supplies. With literally 1000′s of treadmills on the market I have my work cut out for me, but I want to help everyone out there make the best & most informed decision possible. Think of us as the Consumer Reports specifically for treadmills! The thing is, Consumer Reports only lists 38 treadmill models; we plan on listing 100′s.
In addition to information pertaining directly about treadmills, I look forward to posting informative content about fitness in general too. This could be anything from how cardio exercise is good for your overall heath, to what the best shoes are to run in. The topics really are limitless and I hope to gain a following as one of the top Internet resources for general health in fitness information.
If you happen to be one of the early visitors that stumbles upon this blog I would love to hear from you. Let me know what treadmill you have, how many times a week you use it, what kind of content you would like to see on the blog, or even if you would like to contribute to us.

Congratulations on the acquisition. I’ve been looking at this domain for a while as well. Did you acquire it through buydomains broker or directly from the owner?
They were asking $150k for this domain, if you don’t mind me asking, how much did you end up buying it for?
christopher
We got it though the BuyDomains broker, but I had been in contact with the owner directly before that. We first contacted the owner over a year ago, but couldn’t come to price. They listed it with BuyDomains about 6 months ago, so in the end we had to work through the broker.
Congratulations on the purchase. Hopefully you managed to secure it for under 100k? But if you had to go thru the broker, you probably paid more than 100k for it.
It is weird, but most people are afraid to deal 1-on-1 and prefer to go with the broker. It’s almost as if they are fearful of giving away their treasured prize to an individual, but they’d be willing to do it with a middle man involved.
They quoted me 150k, but I didn’t pull the trigger because its a very speculative investment at this point – and you probably still need to spend thousands more on development. Lots of potential though
Chris,
I don’t like disclosing the exact amount I pay for domain names anymore, but I do feel comfortable saying that I paid significantly under 100k for it. Regardless, I’m sure the sale will be reported on industry websites such as DNJournal.com. I buy and sell domain names all the time and do my best no to pay above market value for them; I feel comfortable at what I got into the domain for. I agree that there is still thousands to spend on development and content, but that was a part of our decision making process. Hopefully this time next year you’ll see treadmill.com at the top of the search results for several treadmill related terms.
Thanks and happy New Year!
Mike
Congrats, Michael.
IMO, this was the buy of the year and by a wide margin.
Even at $150K, it was a good buy. But I know you got it for little over half that.
Million dollar property.
Thanks Tony
